Yes it has been a very long time since I've written a journal and no I will now bore you with what happened in the course of 2009. It was eventful we'll leave it at that.

Anyways I'm back from cruising the pacific and no I won't be going back out. Once was enough thanks, it's now time to shackle myself to my bench and I do so willingly. In the last month or so I've gotten the studio set up and took a trip up to school to get some materials ready for my line so starting tomorrow I plan on being very busy. I'm hoping to get 2 or 3 lines going in the next month or so, so I can start approaching vendors and start doing house parties.

I've got my jewellery back from the traveling grad show. I sold a few pieces but most came back to me. I've managed to take a few pictures today so hopefully I'll be putting some up here on dA for your viewing pleasure.

Hope you all had a fab 2009 and here's to 2010, cheers!

Alaska

Hi everyone, just thought I'd let you know how my Alaskan adventure is going. All I can really say is that it's not what I expected. Princess was supposed to be one of the better company's to work for. All I can say is that's definitely not true anymore and there's no way I'm coming back once I'm done my contract. Needless to say I'm really wishing I was home. On the other hand Alaska is beautiful, I just wish I had more time to enjoy it.

I'm really looking forward to going home and getting to work on my jewellery again. My fingers are itching to play with silver and gold again. I also found a little store in Skagway that sells rough stone. I picked up a nice chunk of polish flint and I'm thinking of getting some "Northern Lights" Jasper so I can do some lapidary as well.

5 weeks of Alaska left. Here comes Hawaii!

Less than a week...

Until I'm off on a plane to meet a boat to go on my mystical Alaskan/Hawaiian journey.

So of course I've been unbelievably busy getting ready but now that it's a week away I've got most things done. Packing starts soon. I have more pictures to put on dA but I forgot them on the computer at school so now I have to wait until my teacher Greg e-mails them to me. I'll probably have to remind him this week.

Oh by the way London was awesome. The best part was seeing two of my friends from when I went to school in Germany. I really missed them. Didn't see everything I wanted to though, so of course now I have an excuse to go back!

So this has been a very random update. Feels like my life right now.

Livin' it up in London

Yes I am happily sitting in an internet cafe at the moment in beautiful London England. I've been here for about a week and I've loved just about every minute of it. If I haven't replied to any of your fav's I'm sorry, it's been a bit hectick with school finishing, the grad show, moving home and heading out to London. So anyways I've got one more week here in England, I'll be visiting a friend in Loughborough later in the week so I'm very much looking forward to it.

As to school it was incredibly stressful at the end and right now I'm very glad that it's done, too many time sensitive things going on at once it's a relief when things get done. I didn't get everything done I wanted to but I got most of them done and I'm quite happy with most of them. The grad show went well as well. I didn't win anything this year but that's okay, those who did really deserved it.

So just a few more weeks now and I'll be heading off on my cruise ship adventure. I know where I'm going now, Alaska for most of the summer, Hawaii for the fall. I'm really looking forward to it now. I won't be around much but I promise I will upload the pictures of what I did last semester before I go.

I wish everyone a great summer and a great year!

Yes we have arrived at 6 weeks to the end of the semester and I am... *cough* woefully behind on my contract. I've been a bit to relaxed for the first half of the semester so now I'm paying for it however I have kicked it into high gear. Wish me luck. Hopefully I don't fall off the bandwagon again. So anyways I might not be around much the next while since I never leave the studio anymore.

Next off I have some very good news. I've got a job for the summer. Or at least I've been hired, I don't actually have and official position yet. Who has hired me you ask? Why Princess Cruise lines! Yes I will be selling fine jewellery aboard a very fine cruise ship for 6 months after school. This is an amazing opportunity to get some much needed sales experience (since I'm slightly terrified of customers) and an opportunity to do some more traveling. Not to mention making mad cash. A healthy monthly paycheck and almost no expenses since your room, food and travel to and from the ship is paid for. You have to work like a dog but I think it's a good trade off don't you? Anyways I'm totally excited.

Wish me luck in the next few months!
